GT7 – Audi R8 4.2 – Turbo – Tokyo WTC 600 Tune & Strategy Guide

Since the release of GT7, you could buy the Audi R8 4.2 and tune it to be a weapon at the Tokyo WTC 600 event. Let’s get started.

Purchasing the car

Head to Brand Central, Europe, and Germany to find the Audi dealer. Pick your favorite color (unless it’s not black, then choose black) and pay a bargain 166,700 credits. Time to set this up for a comfortable win.

Car Customization

Once you have the car, head to GT Auto, and then to Car Customization. For this tune, I used wide wheels with a wide offset, a Type A front spoiler, Type A side skirts, and a Low custom wing. Finish the customizations and then head to the Tuning Shop.

There’s a bit more to the tun here compared to other cars. Here are the things that change:

Anti-Roll Bar: Front – 4, Rear – 6
Negative Camber Angle: Front – 2.5, Rear, 2.0
Toe Angle: Front – Out 0.05, Rear – In 0.10

Aerodynamics
Downforce: Front – 38, Rear – 90

Brakes
Front/Rear Balance: -1

You can use defaults on the Fully Customized Differential or set them to your preference. You are now ready to race!

Strategy

2025 08 05 15 1024x576

One of the fastest cars down the straight, the R8 will reach 207mph with this setup. It’s also very stable in the faster turn sections, reaching over 140mph in turn 3. This will make even a novice win relatively easily. This is a one-pit-stop race, pitting at the end of lap 6 for fuel only. You’ll have plenty of tire left at the halfway mark. My fastest lap was 2:08.1, which means with a perfect lap I should be able to hit 2:07. Now head back out there a beat this event!
