Engine
The Omori Factory's own long-block: 2.8-litre crank and rods, N1 block, forged pistons, Z-Tune cams. It's the engine Nissan would have built if the accountants had left the room.
- Output
- ~600 hp / 540 Nm
- Redline
- 8,000 rpm
Project Kaiju starts where Nissan stopped: a Nismo Z-Tune, the 19-car factory rebuild that is the most complete R34 GT-R ever made. Then it goes further. Tap any line to jump to that part on the car.

Z-Tune-spec IHI turbos with stainless housings. Small enough to spool by 3,500 rpm, big enough to carry the 2.8 to eight grand without running out of breath.
Full-width bar-and-plate core sized for the Z2. Sits behind the Z-Tune bumper's oversized mouth — the reason that opening exists.
Amuse's straight-through 90 mm titanium cat-back with the bullet silencer: 4.3 kg for the whole system, heat-blued tail and body from the factory, and a 130 mm rolled tip finished purple at the lip. Built for boosted RB26s; Amuse admits it may be too loud for the street.
JRZ's race-bred RS Pro 3 dampers upgraded with PROactive: a patented magnetic flow-control valve driven by a control unit reading 3-axis acceleration and gyro sensors 1,000 times a second, re-tuning damping in real time for every bump and weight transfer. Soft on the street, locked down on track, and adjustable from a phone app.
Air cups on all four coilovers that raise the car at the push of a button, so the low ride height clears driveways, speed bumps and ramps without scraping the Z-Tune aero. A 2-gallon tank gives instant lift and the compressor refills itself after each use.
Genuine R35 GT-R Brembo calipers in black on carbon ceramic rotors at all four corners, with black alloy hats, billet 7075 adapters engineered for the R32–R34, titanium bobbins, braided lines, and a custom rear drum for the handbrake. The pads are even called Kaiju.
Street setup: Super Advan Racing Ver.2 in black with a polished lip — the three-spoke that has been on fast Skylines since the nineties — on 285/35 ZR18 Pilot Sport 4S, the one road tyre that still behaves when the boost comes in.
The Getrag V160 kept and rebuilt with a Nismo shifter, an OS Giken TR2CD twin-plate that stays streetable, and a Nismo GT Pro 1.5-way in the back. ATTESA stays — it's the point of a GT-R.
Two carbon-shell SP-Gs in black Alcantara, a Nardi Classic on a Works Bell quick release, and the Nismo multi-function display running the full logger page set.
Z-Tune-style front bumper in dry carbon from All Street, finished in gloss black to match the body. The big central mouth feeds the intercooler and the corner openings cool the brakes.
A flat dry-carbon front diffuser under the bumper, left in exposed weave to match the MUSE wing. It works with the rear diffuser to cut front-end lift at speed.
Z-Tune-style vented bonnet in dry carbon from All Street, left in exposed weave rather than painted. The vents pull heat out of the engine bay and trim weight off the nose.
Wide Z-Tune-style front fenders in dry carbon, painted gloss black, with All Street's matching fender liners behind them to seal the wheel arches and tidy the airflow.
Dry-carbon extensions that run along the bottom of the side skirts, left in exposed weave. They carry the line of the front diffuser back to the rear and help keep air from spilling under the car.
Dry-carbon corner pods that sit under the rear bumper, outboard of the diffuser, in matte exposed weave like the rest of the underbody carbon.
Nismo-style bolt-on flares that widen the rear arches over the wider rear track, left in exposed matte carbon to tie in with the diffusers and wing.
A carbon heat shield framing the exhaust exit in the rear bumper, protecting the paint from the titanium system's heat. Matte exposed weave.
A full dry-carbon rear diffuser in exposed weave, matching the front diffuser, skirt extensions and wing. It speeds the air leaving the underside of the car, pulling the rear down.
A full MUSE dry-carbon wing: the main plane finished in body-colour gloss black, with the blade and the extra-tall risers left in matte dry carbon. The taller risers lift the blade into clean air above the roofline.
Custom infinity-mirror units in the stock R34 housings: an LED ring between a mirror and a smoked half-mirror, so the light tunnels back into the lamp and shifts as you walk round the car. Smoked and invisible when off.
The Z-Tune's own colour, re-shot: black base under a fine blue-tinted pearl, three stages, wet-sanded and cut. Reads flat black in the shade and comes alive in sun.
A 2005 factory build by Nismo: 19 cars, each rebuilt from a low-mileage V-Spec with a 2.8-litre RB26 (the "Z2"), Sachs dampers, Brembo brakes and carbon wide-body aero. It is the most complete GT-R Nissan ever made, and the base for Project Kaiju.
Black Pearl (code GV1) is the colour the Z-Tune was actually delivered in: a black base under a fine blue-tinted pearl that reads flat black in shade and lights up in sun. Kaiju keeps it.
Not yet. It's a fully specified dream build — every part chosen and priced — shown as an interactive 3D model so you can inspect it the way you'd walk around a real car.
